Error while installing CrE-ME 4.12 runtime on mobile device

HI Friends,

I have downloaded the CrE-ME 4.12 for mobile device from the website http://www.nsicom.com/ for my mobile device Asus M 530w which is running on microsoft windows mobile 6 standard CE OS 5.2.1239.

Now as soon as I try to install the CrE-ME 4.12 after downloading it gives the error that filename is not a valid Windows CE application

I tried installing all the below shown files but got the same error.

CrE-ME412.22oa_ARM_CE61_PPC.exe

CrE-ME412_ARM_CE50_HPC.exe

CrEmeDevSup410.exe

CrEme329_ARM_CE42_PPC.exe

Please Suggest.

Hi,

CAB files are needed to install on WM PDA. Please download the cab file for Creme and then copy it the PDA.

Then you can run the cab file to install Creme.

The reply was usefull. I have successfully installed the runtime environment NSIcom CrMe 4.1 and the SAP MinDB on the mobile device.Now as soon as we try to run the SAP Netweaver Mobile Client on Mobile Device , It disappears without giving any

error.

The mobile device we are using is running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with 64 MB RAM.

We have successfully tested NSIcom CrMe . It works fine but the client disappears.

Please Suggest.

Installation steps for Client on PDA

1.Install Crème cab file

2.Install DB2E cab file

3.Install pda_runtime_wince.cab

4.Install pda_eswt_container.cab

Could you provide the following details:

a) How did you start the client.

b) Could you pls send the contents of the file jscout.txt (This will be created in the same folder where the *

MI folder* exists on the PDA)

c) Did the client actually start or it never came up?

d) What is the client version you are using?

I followed the same Installation steps for Client on PDA

1.Installed Crème cab file

2.Installed MINDB cab file

3.Installed pda_runtime_wince.cab

4.Installed pda_eswt_container.cab

a) How did you start the client. _ I started from Icon in programs. Netweaver Client.

HI,

What is the SP Patch you are using on SAP Netweaver MObile 7.1

Pls use the latest patch on 7.1 SP08

There seems to be some issue with DB connectivity. In case the problem still happens with the latest SP also then pls raise a OSS ticket so that the SAP support team can have a look.

We are using MI 7.1 SP 4 Patch 1.

Can u please guide from where we can get the latest patch of 7.1 SP08 or please provide the link.

And one more thing nipun , can it be a issue due to mobile device ?? Like the device we are using is having 64 mb ram and is working on windows 5.0 operating system.

Please suggest.

This will give you all the details/pre requirements/device recommendations etc about the SAP Netweaver Mobile Client 7.1.

You can download the latest patch on 7.1 SP 08 from SAP service market place only.

Hi,

you hove download3ed the windows installation files. That is fine, just the installation is a little different then your approach.

Please connect your PDA via Active Sync and run the install files on the PC. This will install a few things on the PC to ease up your development and as well it will install the CAB file on your PDA. So you have to do a few things on the PDA as well, once the Windows installer has copied to CAB files over to the PDA and started these install files on the PDA.

So do not start the EXE files on the PDA but on the PC. The end result will be a running creme installaiton on your PDA as you expect it.
