hi sir

i hav involved one project that is dairy product. the client wants 102 weeks forecasting. the forecasting will done once every month. but the weaks forecasting should be modified every week.

so i maintain weeks and month in time bucket profile. for the above senerio

the planning is on rolling basis every month here

the clinet requirement is if the planning is start from today onwards up to 102 weeks. once this month 4 weeks completes the planning forecast should become 98 weeks. once next 4 weeks completes then it should be become 94 weeks.( the forecast will done 94 weeks ).. have u understand my senerio. how i can do this senerio???

Hi dallyanusha,

In rolling based planning method, you can achieve your

requirement.

Once you maintain your time bucket profile, the periodicities

will get published in planning book.

Once if you reinitialise your planning area, the previous buckets

will get blocked and fresh buckets will get restored in the planning

book and this cycle keeps going on. ie if you have 102 weeks

planning scenario, after this month once if you reinitalise your

planning area, fresh 4 months from future buckets will get opened

up for planning

here u said that intializ the planning area... here once i intilize the planning area the data will loose. so how could i do that... whether that data take backup to infocube from pa ..or any method is thre??

in that my senerio is--

Hi Dallyanusha,

The right method to do initialisation is before initialisation, the data

will get lost and hence you need to take back up of data from

infocube and then do the initislisation activity.

After every initialisation, you could observe the future buckets will

get opened up for planning.

Test the scenario in testing system and get transported to production

system once u confirm satisifactory results
