Hi Nagesh,
1) Product Split :- This function allows you to replace a product with one or more
products when it is released. This means that you can plan one product or product
group in Demand Planning and use another product or products for further processing
in SNP and PP/DS.
The use of a product split allows you to separate out different kinds of demand
for example, unpromoted demand and promoted demand
You can create a demand plan on an aggregate level, for instance for a product group,
and then break it down using fixed proportion when you release the plan
You can use it in a supersession scenario. You plan an old product, but when you
release it, the system replaces the old product with the new one
Release of the demand plan from Demand Planning to Supply Network Planning
Transfer of the demand plan from Demand Planning to R/3 Demand Management
2) Location Split:- Supply Network Planning plans products per location. Therefore,
before you release the demand plan to Supply Network Planning you must specify
what proportion of demand is planned at each location.
