OS400 system upgrade

Hi Gurus

We are looking at upgrading our machines from IBM iseries M25 upgrading to Power 6 8402. We are on SAP ECC 6. Is there anything I need to be aware of if we go ahead with the upgrade. I am trying to find out information of any errors or faluts that will come from the Upgrade

Basically we are going to change the CPU, Memory and update the PTFs on the old machine that we currently have. The disk with SAP will stay intact. If there is anythign that i should look out for i would appreciate

Hi Tendal,

just backup all the needed libs, ensure, that the kernel is certified, install all the PTFs of the current infoapar, use DLTR3PKG on the target and have a look into SAP note 1148480.

Then you should be fine ...
