ppds planned order

Dear Friends,

In PPDS, i am running CTP heuristic for a sale order through variable heuristic. its creating planned order. when i click on planned order and click on delete, i am getting a message saying the planned order was deleted. but the planned order still exist in product view. But when i run the report for deleting the planned orders then it is dissappearing from the system.. is it because of any inconsistency or RAM capacity. we are having a aram of only 4 GB. Or is there any setting specific to that. i am surprised because this is working fine in sand box. but this problem exist in my testing client in quality instance. pls throw some light on this.

Hi Vinay,

Indirectly your observation is exactly right. If your

memory capacity is very low, then the system cannot

take and update the queue from one system to other

system

During the process of updation of queue due to low

memory, it hangs or strucks as queues or return with

errors.

Hence you need to update your RAM capacity and

test this scenario.

Hi vinay,

When a planned order is getting deleted, the deletion relevant

queue will get generated in APO system and will go into the

inbound queue of R/3 system to remove the planned order

at R/3 and again it comes back to APO for final updation.

Your error is in the second stage wherein updation did not

happen and hence the planned order is visible in APO whereas

it has been actually deleted.

As I have mentioned already, try clearing all the queues and then

run CCR report for planned order for that item and check whether

the issue is disappearing.

Hi senthil,

I will check that. but, our RAM is just 4 DB. Is it because of that, because last time in our sandbox after certain period, the same thing was happenning and i initialised the live cache. then system started to behave properly. But i am facing the same problem in my new system where there not much data. pls guide.

Hi vinay,

It seems there could be chances of inconsistency existing in your testing

client which is not there in your sandbox system.

Check the inbound and outbound queues of your testing client (both in

R/3 and in APO)

Clear the queues and then try this scenario. Also try running CCR report

for the single location product and check any error is getting

captured.

This will resolve your issue. Please check and confirm

Dear Senthil,

in the product view when i click on planned order and click on delete icon, system issues the message saying it is deleted, but it is still shown in the product view. has it got anything to do with Q. Pls guide me further.
