Need help for ECC 6 IDES SR3 installation on Windows 2k3 32bit with Oracle

Dear All,

This is chee wee, i'm new student in this forum and a fresh student of SAP. Hello everybody!!!

I would like to build my own IDES Ecc 6.0 for learning purpose, and i have downloaded SAP ecc 6.0 SR3 from service.sap.com

In fact, i don't know which are the component is needed for me, but i just downloaded whatever i found on the service.sap.com, i'm sorry for this action!!

i have installed vmware in my windows vista notebook and created a virtual system in my 1 tera external harddisk.

Below are somethings i have installed;

1. Windows server 2k3 32bit

2. J2sdk_1.4_19 and set the system variable JAVA_HOME with value c:\j2sdk1.4.2_19

3. Installed Oracle 10.2 and created a database together with the installation, but need help for the value of the ORACLE_HOME variable?

4. set the variable CPIC_MAX_CONV with the value 500

5. set the virtual memory to minimum 9216 to maximum 12288

I have read through the guide in http://www.saptechies.com/ides-erp-60-ecc-60-sr3-note-1244548/

Can anyone guide me what are the steps before the IDES SAP ecc 6 SR3 installation?

nice name.

1. Windows server 2k3 32bit --> correct

2. J2sdk_1.4_19 and set the system variable JAVA_HOME with value c:\j2sdk1.4.2_19 --> correct

have you installed it successfully or you need help how to start installation ?

Thank you very much to all of you for given me support for the SAP installation.

Unfortunately, the installation was failed at the step "import ABAP".

I will close this thread now, and look for some other solution to create my own learning system.

Dear All,

Please help....!!!

During the "Import Abap" i got some error message. Here is the log file details from the "test_MIGKEY.log", and after restarted the system, my Oracle Listener couldn't be start.

Can i know if this is the problem when install in a 32bit server.

It is not able open the file, might be the reason you are using space on computer name.

Hi,

Sorry to say that, you can't install ECC6.0 SR3 on the windows 2003 32 bit envroinment.

Any SAP product with SR3 will not support the 32 bit envroinment(NW 7.0, SOLMAN, ECC 6, etc).

If you want to install the ECC6 in 32 bit envroinment, you have to go with ECC6 SR2 then you can update your support pack level.

1. Install the dll files which is in the SAPINST

2. Install JDK and set the JAVA_HOME

3. Change the Virtual memory.

4. You need atleast 230 GB of hard disk in single drive (If it is IDES)

5. Install the Oracle 10g

6. Install the Oracle patch.

7. Set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID

8. Start the ECC6 SP2 Installation using SAPINST.

9. While installing you need to provide the JCE file. If you don't have you can get it from the internet.

Hope you have enought information.

Please find the below path to identify your SAP ECC6 in the service market place.

here you can find your component by ZIP number(starts with 5). -

this is will give u the exact component list.

1. In Environment variables -- > System variable-- > Here u have to spcify your JDK path(both c:\JDK...\bin and c:\JDK...\lib) under PATH variable.

2. Oracle variable automatically will be added in this PATH list. check that also.

3.Check your virtual memory settings.

4.If your system is not connected with network than you have to create the VIRTUAl NETWORK(Microsoft Loop Back Adopter).
