IAC applications to be accessed from integrated ITS server

Hello experts,

We have a scenario where stand-alone ITS is being used to access the IAC applications through the web browser. The existing ERP is upgraded to SAP ERP 6.0 and the functionality will have to be managed by the ITS server integrated to the ERP system.

After the upgrade to ERP 6.0, can the IAC applications be accessed (from web browser) using integrated ITS server of ERP or should SAP Portal be required to manage the IAC applications. We need this info for making sure whether portal is required or not to access the IAC applications using the integrated ITS server of the ERP system.

Regards,

Suresh

Yes, this is the way it works with the integrated IAC.

There are a few things to think about:

- You have to make sure the HTTP service is running with a port number attached

(tcode SMICM, Goto --> Services)

- You must activate some services in tcode SICF

and note [https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/934824|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/934824]

A good starting point for all of this is the following note

Here you have a general description of the Integrated ITS and how it differs from the "old" stand-alone ITS.

Also, there are quite some notes listed which are helpful.

For example, some IAC might not work in ERP 6.0 (Especially ESS/MSS), which is mentioned in some of the notes.
