How do I restrict "Release Transport Request" action for Developer

Hi All,

How do I restrict the execution of "Release Transport Request" action for the developer in ZDHF so that before releasing the transport request, the administrator can check the naming conventions of the Transport Request.

Please advise.

We only allow releases only after a specific period, all release is blocked

we do this via : SPRO_ADMIN

check ( create a project) , i assume everybody is using this.

you can make the project code obligatory via sE03 display change request attributes SAP_CTS_PROJECT

another option would be to use the a BADI ( search for BEFORE_EXPORT , or something like that.

Do you want an extra approval before the transport is released? Is the administrator going to release the transports?

Hi Solmaniac,

I want the administrator to release the transport request after checking the naming convention of the transport request. That is because if the naming convention used by the Developer is wrong and the request is released, it is difficult to change the name of the release TR.
