Can we implement password self service tool in grc 5.3 (Access Enforcer) without having HR system?

Hello Jay,

It depends on your authenctication system , if you use LDAP as authentication system

PSS is possible without HR as well

Surely you can do that.

It all depends on your requirements for authentication - how do you want people to prove who they are before you're willing to reset their password.

You can either use challenge response, which would require everyone to pre-register by answering a few questions, or for example use their Windows Domain login via Active Directory to authenticate for a SAP password reset.

As Frank says, it is definitely possible.

Just have a look at the User registration and self service configuration nodes and you can configure it to how you need it!

Can you please guide me to the steps involved in achieving this functionality [PSS] without the HR system. We are on AE 5.1 VP1 (Build:14985).

This is only possible in 5.3 system. You can not have PSS without HR in 5.1 or 5.2.
