Unable to connect to internet on sap ecc 6.0(IDES)

Hi everyone,

i got sap ECC 6.0 (ides) installed on windows server 2003 recently .Ethernet drivers are already installed on the system.But i am not able browse the internet on it.Should i configure anything to get internet connected?Thanks Anyway.

Hi,

There is no connection between SAP system & browsing internet.

you can do any thing to connect to internet. Just be carefull if you are going to change the IP Address. search notes for IP address change on SAP server.

Hi,

I am assuming your sever is sat behind a firewall.........

Then you will need to use your usual normal office IE network settings....

But personally I would not open a connection to the internet firewall or not onto the SAP server.
