NetWeaver Log: Finding Data source errors

Hi there,

I have a SQL Server datasource that works on one server, but not on two others.

I want to find the error messages, but only have access to the NetWeaver logs.

How do I find the MII messages among all the other log messages?

Which NetWeaver logs will contain MII messages?

Hey, I found that if I used "Last 24 hours" and Category contains MII I got the error messages.

I'd still like your wisdom on how MII integrates system level (not Event Logger) messages into the NetWeaver logs.

Hi Amy,

I would suggest that you experiment with the NW Log and Custom views for MII specific tasks. I usually have 3-4 custom views configured so I do not have to either build the filter each time or manually parse the information. For most of my trouble shooting, I use last hour data for better performance.

I added a filter with Category contains MII and Date & Time Relative equals last hour.

Works great
