Hi-

Our PI 7.1 system shows that some of the largest tables are system tables that are type lobsegment.

Is this expected? We are Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 . Is there something to implement to reduce these?

Have you configured an Archiving and Deletion strategy for this system? See note #872388 Troubleshooting Archiving and Deletion in XI 3.0 / PI 7.0, for more details.

After the XI messages have been successfully archived/deleted, you will need to run the Oracle DB reorganisation jobs to free up the DB space created after deleting the messages. Your DBA will be able to assist with this.
