changing an existing index

Hello,

What is the right way to change the definition of an existing index?

When we change the index in SE11 - we get an error:

DT503 - Index must be converted.

Must I drop the index manually? I would prefer to have the index dropped in a transport, then get re-created.

Hi,

in SE11 select your index context menu above Utilities => Database untility => delete database index

arrow back activate the index and repeat above but this time create index.

Note: make sure you have enough space for the new index with the extra fields.
