I need to configure process monitoring for two sap systems (SID1 and SID2) that run on a single (shared) unix box.
I have tried two ways to do this:
1. Modify the dev_proc file in Saposcol Working directory:
From df, I can see that the /usr/sap/tmp/ directory is shared between both the instances. To know if any custom directory is set as SAPOSCOL working directory, I checked the profile files for parameter DIR_PERF but couldn't find it. At the same time, I navigated to ST06 to know the Status of SAPOSCOL and surprised that both systems share the same O/S level PID of saposcol. However, the data obtained by saposcol in both systems is different.
I dont know if I can configure dev_proc for processes for two systems.
2. Modify the <SysID>_<InstNo>procmon.ini file. However, its not picking up the custom file with name CCMS_<SysID>_<InstNo>procmon.ini. It only monitors processes from the default file created by J2EE engine J2EE_<SysID>_<InstNo>procmon.ini
Any clue ?
Hi,
Check if the SAP Note 371023 - OS07/ST06: Monitoring operating system data, helps you any way?
