Hi,

You seem to be using 64bit executables E.G in the string you have IM windows*x64

I would expect you to be using this below

51033511_11 BS2005 SR3 Installation Master Windows Server on IA32 32bit

our client runs an ECC 6.0, a three system landscape and we need to clone a demo system.the OS is Windows Server 2003 x32bit but all other sizing requirements are met.whenever i try to install with the installation master s/w of our client, this is the error i get.

The image file

but is for a machine type other than the current machine."

My guess is that the s/w wont work on 32bit systems.

what do u think?

if thats true, which SAP Neaweaver version will support a 32bit system?

Hi,

You have to download 32 bit installation DVD from service.sap.com/swdc. Also you need 32 bit windows Kernel.

Export DVD's are independent from OS & bits.

please i want u to tell me what and what i need to prepare this sandbox for ny 32bit system cos ive tried almost everything with no luck.

What is this thing about Export DVD's. do i need them or the installation master or both.

Please explain as soon as possible.

You are using Windows 2003 32 bit version & you are executing the sapinst for X86_64 bit version.

It is true that SAP supports 32 bit versions but it recommends the 64bit version for higher performance.

You can down load the below DVD's to install the SAP System.

Hi Humvee,

I also checked on service.sap.com 32bit Installation Master DVD is not available for Windows server but it is available for Windows IA32 you can download & check with this DVD + Kernel for the same.

Export DVD's are same that you are using.

If this DVD will not work check with your client if he had the DVD Set, it will be great for you.. use the master & Kernel DVD form his DVD set.

Last thing is you have to post OSS Message as well as phone call & ask to make availability of 32 bit Media set for you, let this call to take your client.
