Error: Cannot find PDL type for output device LP01 - How to rectify

Hi,

I am trying to test demo form FP_TEST_00 and when the popup for print preview came, I gave 'LP01', but it gave the following error.

Error reported:

Cannot find PDL type for output device LP01.

After searching forums about this type of error, I realize that I need to use output device which has the following device types configured in SPAD.

AZPL203

AZPL300

HP9500

HPLJ4

HPLJIID

HPLJIIID

PDF1

POST2

I have created a new output device (ZPDF) with PDF1 as device type and ran the test again. Now I get a different error.

Error reported:

ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing d(200101).

Please let me know how to troubleshoot this issue and test the demo form.

Thanks

Amit Jain

Hi Amit,

Why did you pick PDF1? This assume you have a printer that understands native PDF as PDL. Using SPAD to create a new output device is correct. You can use the program RSPO0022 to check if there is an XDC assigned to your device type. XDS are used to define device types for ADS.

Are you sure your ADS services are running correctly? That is not a simple think to install and configure it. Work with your basis colleagues.
