Hi,
On our APO system there are hugh files generated, which seem to be the Livecache log (backup).
If you go to LC10 choose LiveCache: Monitoring Button (it is the 2nd from the left side). Next: in the tree on the left side, go to Administration -> Backup MEdia, I see two entries: Livecache log and Backup Livecache.
I have following questions in regards of the Livecache log file.
-what is exactly this file storing
- can i change it while the system and LiveChace is on line ( to point to different directory - that is important for me)
- what are the suggested settings for size, rewritable, ....
- how is this file critical when it comes to system / livecache recovery
Thnx in advance for all input.
BR,
pawel
Hi.
You can change the directory.
http://www.sapdb.org/pdf/dbmcli_commands.pdf
that link gives all sorts of livecache commands.
Easiest way to change where the files go is to go in to LC10 and under administration is backup templates.
You should be able to edit the log template or create a new one to dump files where you need.
Overwrite doesn't really overwrite log files.
We are currently trying to figure out how to manage these logs as we want to keep them but they are out of control.
