Authorization in SLD

I have assigned security role SAP_SLD_GUEST to a test user in ABAP Stack.I also created a role SLD_DISPLAY adn added the action LcrUser to it in the Useradmin Tool.

I assigned both these to the test user however when I try to login trhough this user into the SLD he is getting error message that he is not authorized to vied the page.

When I give SAP_SLD_GUEST,SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR,SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR,SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER,SAP_SLD_GUEST,SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER it all works.Ntuallary when he gets everytjing it starts working.

What can be possible cause of this behavious ?

Hi Raj

This problem is related to ability to restrict authorizations.If a user needs everything to work he will get that.

Having said that I would request to share experiences where SLD access has been restricted like:access to create only landscape information,access to create only software catalog etc.

I am trying this out keeping in mind some security considerations.

Giving awaya eveyrthing would not resolve problem in long term.

Asad,

SLD is so critical, needs high level authorization. The user must have all the required roles inorder to work on SLD.
