BADI RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT_BADI

Hello all,

does anyone have experiences with the BADI RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT that can change the value help in the variable screen?

It is not clear to me from where the BADI is called. I created an implementation for the BADI, but nothing happens.

Thank you very much. I try it today.

=> I looking for this feature since years. In BW we need the same functionality as ERP: when I filled a cost area, then I want to see only the relevant costcenter in the value help. This has been worked never.

Hello Gerd,

I have implemented the note correction in BI7.0 EHP1 Patch 8.

I have create a badi implementation. In my class I have copied the code from the example and activate.

=> I have inserted break-points in the code.

=> but the query doesn't stopped when I execute it in RSRT.

I think, it doesn't work.

Hello DeGe,

Unfortunately there was a wrong information at Teched. The Badi is NOT yet available with SAPNetWeaver BW 7.01. It is already visible in se18 but will not be called by the system. It will probably be delivered with Enhacement Pack 2 (7.02).

thanks for this information.

I wonder if it is possible to use it already with EHP 1 by implementing a modification.

Do you think this is realistic or do I have to wait until EHP 2?

We are currently in the process of checking whether this feature could be made available in 7.01 in one or the other way. I will update this blog as soon as we have reached a conclusion.
