Deal the Error messge in Delta upload

Hi,All:

Now we face this problem:

The value of characterstic in record is not standard.

The traffic light is red, and not activity request in ODS.

Now we change value in source system manual,and we want to redo the delta upload and upload the data for cube.

How to solve this problem?Can you give me some helps?

Change the red light once again to red and then delete the request and do delta load again.

Now I face the new problem:

The status of Total is yellow light, and the status of Technical is yellow light.

The system message as follow:

Diagnosis

No errors could be found. The current process has probably not finished yet.

System response

The ALE inbox of the SAP BW is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system

and/or

the maximum wait time for this request has not yet run out

and/or

the batch job in the source system has not yet ended.

Current status

No Idocs arrived from the source system.</i>

We have 7 delta upload like this.I find something unusually is <i>211 from 0 records</i>.I think it means BW system do not upload data,and the process is running now.

How to process the step? I waiting for 2 hours.

Hi Zagory,

If you have changed the erraneous value in the source system, then you can perform a delta update by executing the InfoPackage.

If you cannot change it in the source system, then you can try loading the correct records by setting error handling option in the InfoPackage for delta load.

When deleting a request from an infoprovider, I understand that you must first change the traffic light to red and then delete. But can someone please explain to me why this should be done. What are the implications if you were to manually delete a request when the light is green?

In simple words, when you turn the request Red, you send a message to the source system that this load was not correct. This is important in case you are deleting a delta load so that on the next load, the system can send the same data. If you leave it green (or make the k=mistake of turning it green) and then delete the system understands that this load was correctly received and you may not get the records that you are expecting.

What about when you right click on an ODS and select "delete data". Does this process automatically turn the request "red" and then delete it?

No, it just deletes all the requests.
