I have two questions ?

Is SAP GUI 6.40 compatible with windows server 2008 ?

Is SAP GUI 6.40 still supported by SAP ?

All of this information is stored on http://service.sap.com/pam (product availability matrix).

SAP GUI 6.40 is listed as maintained until 14.10.2008 so it is currently out of maintenance. Support still exists for some OS versions as seen in note 147519

Windows Server 2008 support is listed as follows:

Windows 2008 Serv: De-Support: not yet determined

Post mortem QA: not yet determined
