SGEN not started

Hi

I have installed ECC 6.0, started SGEN three hours back it showing job status Active, still it is not started counting of edited object, what is the reason

It shows the status also, how much % is completed and how much approx time it will take to finish. Did you check this? Just click on refresh button and you will see all these details.

In which client you have started the SGEN and what is the user, does this user has full rights to execute the job?

Yes, thats it. it will take long time. wait and watch. keep refreshing your screen. in case of any problem, it'll stop with the error message and it'll through the short dump. according that you can troubleshoot. most of the time it'll stop because of the tablespce. that time you need the increase the tablespace and start agian.

Hi,

Please check this :

1. Properly started?- start immediate selected,

2.IF its running than you will get the estimation time after 100 objets completed.

3.check job overwiew - it will show whether your mass load is active or not.

4.keep checking the work process and ABAP dumps.

5.Sometimes it'll stop the process due to lack of tablespace.

Check that job RSPARAGENER8 is still running... also this can take quite a bit of time so be patient.
