Hi All,
Scenario :
There are many text ID's created in the Sales Header, which are either redundant or not used. Hence there is a need to retain the Text ID's which are required and hence delete the unwanted ones.
Kindly advice the steps to delete a text ID and steps to transport it. Should any tables be added to the Transport request manually.
I understand that the Text ID's tables are TTXID & TTXZI and the Transaction code is VOTX.
Regards,
Lakshman R
1st:Before deleting the TEXT IDs, please check the TEXT procedures and where these TEXD IDS are used. Delete them first from the TEXT Procedures.
2nd:Check in which Access Sequences these TEXT IDs are used and delete them .
3rd:Then Delete the TEXT IDs.
Transports should be standard transport process.
Thanks
Sai

You delete the text id's normally as you delete any other customizing entries. But a few things that you should probably look at are:
Any open orders/deliveries with the text id's, these texts should be erased or deleted from these documents or probably close them before deleting the ID's.
Transport is as normal again, delete the entries which normally creates a transport request. Transport to production should be done during quiet hours as the changes could cause some unwanted errors if you are copying texts between the documents.
Hope this helps
