Shelf Life of the Batch Material

Hi,

The shelf life is maintained for the batch material during GR process .IF the shelf life expired how to bring the stock under quality inspection for re-checking?

Dear Renuga

For shelf life period inspection lot is not created. if you run QA07 for expiration If the batch status management is active the batch status is changed to "restricted".If the batch status management is not active stocks are transferred to the blocked stock.

Inspection lot is only created for recurring lots that is based on the interval you mention in the material master and activation of 09 inspection type

Activate Status Management and also background scheduling of QA07/QA08....then once the shelf life expires System automatically creates an inspection lot and changes the Batch Status to restricted from Un-Restricted.

Thanks for your reply -In our case while running QA07 the batch status automaitcally changed from unrestriced to restricted but it is not creating any inspection lot . how to get inspection lot ?
