Hi,
I have one doubt:
In our project we are using PWB and streamserve for invoice printing. I don't have much exposure of streamserve interfacing with PWB, so got one doubt - do we need to send the identifier to streamserve in "RDI" file and streamserve will recognise based on the identifier which invoice layout to be used. OR do we send only the messages and other information in RDI file and streamserve figures out byt itself which invoice layout to be used.
Thanks in advnace.

If you are having multiple layouts then you have to send the data(Letter Type or Identifier) in RDI file.
If you are having only one layout you need not send any identifier in RDI file.

Hello ... Not actually sure what you're referring to by layout. As a general rule, it's best to have PWB make as many decisions as possible and limit what the formatter (StreamServe and any other) has to determine.
So for instance:
If it's a residential vs. commercial bill layout ... PWB should send the indicator.
If it's whether to draw a particular box ... say an installment plan history box .... PWB decides whether to fill the variables and the formatter reacts on presense in the RDI.
If it's messages ... either way works well. Have PWB make all the decisions and send the message numbers to the formatter OR send the indicators (like final bill) and have the formatter make the message decisions based on the indicators.
