Dear All,
is it possible to get informations about the History of the Kernel Patch-Level Change?
i.e. from 01.08.2009 - 15.10.2008 Patch-Level 206
from 15.10.2009 - today Patch-Level 207
We are in trouble with a Transport of a SNOTE and I have to check if there were different Kernel Patch-Levels in our System Landscape.
Greets from the wet and cold Germany ;-((
Peter
One option is to check the Early watch reports of that system, Kernel patch level is mentioned into Early watch report also. But if you have the old early watch reports available

Hi, this info is available in Early Watch, under SAP Kernel Release.

Dear All,
many thanks for your Replies.
As I see it now, there is no way to get this Information "out-of-the -Box".
I made copies of every old EXE Folder, so I took this Dates for the Kernel Change Day.
So I pay my penny and will write the next changes of the Kernel Patch into a Spread Sheet to keep this Informations.
Again many thanks to All

Peter,
System does not maintain any history of kernel patch levels as Juan mentioned. But you can check/refer to your change requests/help desk tickets created for kernel changes for the specified period.
Hope this helps.

Hi Peter,

Hi,
If you have backup of old kernel directory, replace with new one.
Then again if we want to can upgrade it.
No idea for kernel history maintained, but can check the logs in /sapmnt/<sid>/exe directory.
Do let me know in case of any further help.

Manomeet

This is completely irrelevant to the question...
No idea for kernel history maintained, but can check the logs in /sapmnt/<sid>/exe directory.
Do let me know in case of any further help.
The kernel directory do not hold any logs...
Regards
Juan
Not as far as I know... possibly you still have the old kernel sitting on your /sapmnt/<SID>/exe directory

Juan
