Receive email

Hello,

I need to be able to receive emails with a pdf attachment in them.

Sending emails from the transaction SO01 works, but how can I configure the inbox?

I read in a few blogs that I need to ask the Exchange guys to make a subdomain and link that to the SAP system. But what exact information should I give them and what exactly should I change in the system to make this work? To what should they link the subdomain?

Please give me some detailed information cause I can't seem to get it working with blogs/other posts.

Thanks upfront

Regards,

PJ

Hello Juan,

I have already read all those links but they don't really help me.

I need help doing this:

Settings on the mail server (SAP-external configuration)

To be able to receive mails in the SAP System, you need to set your

mail server in a way that certain mail addresses are forwarded to

one or several SAP Systems or clients. For this purpose, you need to

define routing rules that assign a mail host and/or port to address

areas (generic address parts, usually the domain), for example:

*@crm-prod.company.com > mySAPWASHost:25000

*@crm-test.company.com > mySAPWASHost:25001

What's the mySAPWASHost:25000 refering too? I guess 25000 is the port?

That the host of your SAP server and the receiving port... as stated on the SMTP guide.

mySAPWASHost = Host of the SAP Web application server
