Equipment Activat or Deacivate

I am unable to activate or de activate the equioment master through ie02 transacton. The fields are gray for me. Is it authorisation issue? if so what would be the object and its value?. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It is possibly that some system or user status setting is preventing this function. Check with a newly created equipment that just has status AVLB.

Please go to SU53 after you go to screen of IE02-->active or deactive.
