Dear all,

i performed GR for one material & inspection lot has been created in QA32

when i am trying to do Results recording

system gives me error Sample size could not be calculated

What is the status of the inspection lot ?

Have you attached the inspection plan for the material and sampling procedure is available

Dear Ganesh,

status is CRTD CHCR SPRQ

as per my knowledge we should create maximum lot size in QDP1 ( sampling scheme )

can u let me know for this lot how to find which sampling scheme is used

For the material please create an Inspection Plan which has got MICs assigned to it which in turn has Sampling Procedures.

Unless and until this is done the status of Inspection Lot would not be changed to REL.

You cannot do RR for the inspection lot which has got CRTD status.

Goto QA02 Transaction...

Enter the Inspection Lot Number...click on Task List Assignment Tab...if you find Group Number and its details in that screen then system has selected right inspection plan for the inspection lot....goto Sample Tab...you will find that system did not able to calculate the sample size...click on Sample Tab so that it can calculate...if that doesn't happen please go back to Inspection Plan.

Goto QP02...check what sampling procedure is assigned in the Inspection Plan for the MIC....for this click on Assign Characteristics Tab after selecting the Operation...

MIC's are assigned to inspection plan

the error i am getting

Sample size could not be calculated

Message no. QA275

Diagnosis

The scope of the sample could not be calculated because no inspection specifications (neither a plan nor a specification) have been assigned to the inspection lot yet.

Procedure

First assign inspection specifications to the lot.

Please follow the steps as suggested by Mr. Sujit...hopefully Inspection Specifications would be asigned to the lot. Otherwise please check the Usage for the Inspection Plan you have created and the Usage requesting in the Inspection Lot.

2) Menu > INspection lot > Reset Sample

Plz let me know i am unable to get it in QA02

And plz let me know which sampling scheme is used for this lot

Dear all,

Just now i observed one thing in QP02

Basically in plant 1 i have one ROH with all required QM data

same way i have done for same material in plant 2

in QP02, i am check checking for both plants in header data

in plant 1, under option parameters for dynamic modifications/inspection points

there is another option Dynamic modification criteria

under this option i have

material ticked , vendor ticked

customer not ticked, manufacture ticked

But in plant 2 in QP02 the above Dynamic modification criteria is misiing

Plz guide me

this will work

also

in QA02>enter lot>inspection specification>check on task list->environment at char level->Inspection char--->sampling procedure .here you can check sampling scheme used.

or

QA02->enter lot>environment(menu)-->inspection specification->sampling procedure.

thanks very much for ur detailed info

but still the problem presists

let me explain

Go to QA02-->enter lot-->click on sample ( arrow symbol)

system is saying the function u selected cannot be carried out

in QA02-->enter lot-->inspection specification-->check on task list----->environment at char level--->Inspection char--->sampling procedure .here you can check sampling scheme used.

system is saying no inspection plan could be found

No inspection plan could be found

Message no. QA278

Diagnosis

A task list could not be found for the selection criteria. The inspection setup for this material in the quality management view of the material master defines an inspection with a task list.

System Response

Sample calculation and inspection lot release are not possible.

Procedure

Check the:

Selection criteria

Material/task list assignment

Task list status

Task list usage

*can u just let me know how to know which sampling scheme is used for this lot i.e from QDP1*

Hi

what ever a message is coming ,

it seems that lot status is still CRTD

now

Go to QP01->create a task list for same material->check that the valid date of the Task list is prior to lot creation date.

if system shows the task list already maintained then in task list header(QP03) check the valide form date it must be prior to lot creation date.

then go to QA01>inspection specification tab->click on inspection specs->go to sample>click on sample.

save

check the status now in QA32 it must be REL

Now you can do RR

Hi

convert CRTD into REL status

1) Go to QA02

2) Menu > INspection lot > Reset Sample

3) Enter & Save

4) QA02

5) Inspection specification > Assign task list by click on Task/ specification

6) Go to Sample, do the SAmple calculation

7) Save

😎 Check whehter lot status is Rel

Dear,

CRTD mean created status of inspection lot.

CHCR means characterstics required. in your case the the material master inspection view says characterstics required however your inspection plan does not have any cahracterstics. remove this tick form material master QM view or

assign the characterstics to inspection plan & both the status of inspection lot will change. you will be then able to process the inspection lot to move the stock from quality to unrestricted.

-In this case you create one inspection plan through QP01 for material code with validae date, status and lot size.

-Assigned the inspection plan through QA02 for same lot (At the time of assignment Key date should be current)

-Calculate the sample size by clicking over Sample tab and then Save the document.

-Status of inspection lot will get changed to REL.

Then go ahead.
