No output - Device type for Canon iR 3035 printer

Hi,

I have installed the device type for the printer Canon iR3035/iR3045

UFR II downloaded from the Canon website (http://software.canon-

europe.com/software/0033307.asp?model=). There is this file with the

name g943mux.exe that contains the device type and the installation

guide ( attached ).

Following the guide, I was able to create two new device types

CanonZCN30P and CanonZCN30S, one for PS and the other for PCL type. I

have picked up Access Method G and the hostprinter as __DEFAULT.

I can see Success in SP01, but there is no print out coming out of the

printer.

In this context, I spoke to the Canon printer vendor, who told that we

have to buy additional printer drivers for printing from SAP. I am not

sure if it is really required.

Please advise, if I really need to buy the printer drivers?

Are you only using this printer for front end printing ?

If you are only using access method G then you are using front end printing and the printer driver installed on the client. Install the drivers on the client if you haven't already done so and set the Device Type in SAP to SAPWIN.
