Message during Certificate printing

Dear friends,

We are getting the following information message during QC certificate printing using transaction QC21.

""The specifications for characteristic 0002 were

not found in batch 20090000S2 Material 20000127

Plant 1030""

Please guide as to what is the possible reason for this.

1) This tocde updates batch where used list . so that the batch flow is updated. normaly this is also maintained in the config. Please check n config SPRO > Logistics - General > Batch Management > Batch Where-Used List > Make Settings for Batch Where-Used List > plant > tick in Synchronous posting of batch where-used records

if this tick is not there then kindly run this tcode and update the batch. and then check QC21

2) please check the mic you have maintained in profile is available in the result recording of the inspection lot. if there is a mismatch then the error will come

Hi

Change the results origin as 'inspection results' in certificate profile. If you want the result has to be come from batch then you have to update the batch characteristics (MB57)

This is because of SPRO setting of copy inspection characteristic readings to a batch.

You have to create a MIC with reference to a class characteristics & use same MIC in certificate profile.

Try and check the setting of batch mgt.this will work

Determine whether you want to use the automatic transfer function for the usage decision to the batch valuation and if this is the case, proceed as follows:

1. Copy the class characteristics for the usage decision and the quality score, using the functions available in the current client.

2. Maintain a batch class in the Classification System and assign the characteristics mentioned above.

3. Assign this batch class to all relevant materials.

Is the batch where used list has been updated . if no please do it thru MB57 and then check the certificate

Hi,

I have maintained results origin as Inspection Results only in profiles.

However, please let me know what exactly happens when we update the batch where used list using mb57.

And when do we require to do this updation.

Because, we have never used Mb57 till now, and this issue comes in only few inspection lots.

Please guide me.

Hi

If you are using results origin as 'inspection results' what for you are using QC21. Directly you can take the certificate in QA32-->Print Certificate in menu. If you want to have results from batch characteristics based on your results in inspection lot, the batch characteristics will be updated. This is the purpose of MB57. Please try with QA32 directly.

have you checked if this characteristic 0002 has a result in the inspection lot related to the material / batch / plant ??

In the profile for QC you define what to do with those characteristics which have no values or with a value out os specification.

If the inspection lot has the value, then the problem is in the profile.

Chack also if the inspection lot has a link to the batch...
