Hi. I want to implement a system of java logging in the portal.

Someone have used the class Log4j to logging in the portal?

Have a llok at this PDF link for integration with 3-rd party logging F/w . also provided a sample app for log4j integration with sap logging

If you must use Log4j then nothing should prevent you using that but SAP WebAS comes with built in support for logging and the necessary log configuration / log viewer etc. Everthing here is also based on the concepts of Category / levels etc.Ref SAP help on logging / traces in WebAS
