Transport control program ended with error code 0247

Errors: addto buffer has problem with data -and/or cofile

When I checked I found this is the issue:

his is tp version 372.04.57 (release 700, unicode enabled)

arning: Parameter DBLIBPATH is no longer used.

ddtobuffer failed for EBDK904277.

Neither datafile nor cofile exist (cofile may also be corrupted).

tandard output from tp and from tools called by tp:

p returncode summary:

OOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

RRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0247

Can anyone please help me to resolve the issue.

Because of this we are not able to transport the request in PRD and complete work

Hi Pramod,

Please check the TP version and all transport layer configured perfectly. If TR request not assigned with transport layer than TR will release as a local transport. but data file and cofile should be mounted for the system which all included with the transport domain. In this case problem with importing TR. so please check the TP background job is running on you system. manually u can find check the data file and cofile available in the particular system or not.

Please check the below things :

1. check the TR log (from se03 -> find request ->ur TR and clear user field and select all check box). here u can find the TR log in detai that where TR has gone.l.

2 TP program is running or not.and also chack background job.

3. TP version

4. TR request(package) assigned with TR layer.

5. check TR directory's is mounting for system as well.

With regards,

CSK.

Dear CSK,

Thanks for the information. When I checked in the BI DEV

Under transport overview when I am clicking BI PRD

I get RFC communications error with system/destination TMSADM(at the rate)XXX.DOMAIN_EBP

This is the reason hence when I checked there is problem with the RFC

In sm59 when I goto test-->test authorization I get the following error.

For DEV system RFC

TMSADM(at the rate)DEV.DOMAIN_DEV

I get the following error

Logon Cancel

Error Details User TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST.

For PRD system RFC

TMSADM(at the rate)PRD.DOMAIN_EBP

I am getting the following error

"Logon Connection Error

Error Details Error when opening an RFC connection

Error Details ERROR: hostname 'epbwprd' unknown

Error Details LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host epbwdev / sapgw00

Error Details DETAIL: NiHsLGetNodeAddr: hostname cached as unknown

Error Details RETURN CODE: -2

Error Details SUBRC: 0

Error Details RELEASE: 700

"

Any help would be highly obliged.

Dear All,

STMS issue has been resolved.

Error: datafiles and cofiles are generated in the DEV system but not showing up in the PRD and an RFC error was throwing.

Solution: Somehow host file entry of PRD was missing in the DEV host file after last saturday activity.

The moment I made the entry in the DEV server this RFC error stops coming

and all the previous requests also came up in the PRD queue and issue is

resolved.

Thanks for your time and help.

Check for the data & cofile files in the dir (cofiles & data). And also check is the request is Transportable request or local object.

Dear Mahesh,

Data files and cofiles are generated in the BI DEV system and I checked it for multiple request.

But it is not showing up in the BI PRD.

Hep would be highly appreciated.

have you tried to add the transport manually to the queue?

STMS_IMPORT -> Extras -> Other requests -> Add...

Post the errors if any

Dear Juan,

Yes I did and found the following error

Transport control program ended with error code 0247

Errors: addto buffer has problem with data -and/or cofile

When I checked further I found this is the issue:

This is tp version 372.04.57 (release 700, unicode enabled)

Warning: Parameter DBLIBPATH is no longer used.

Addtobuffer failed for EBDK904271.

Neither datafile nor cofile exist (cofile may also be corrupted)

standard output from tp and from tools called by tp:

tp returncode summary:

TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0247

I googled but not much help.

Dear Pramod,

From the comment " Neither datafile nor cofile exist " I believe the transport directory for your DEV & PRD might be different.

That could be the reason why the transports does not appear in the PRD system

Dear Mathan,

No our transport directories are same and transport was happening till yesterday.

This problem is coming only since today.

As mentioned before It possible that the transport was released as a local request which is not transportable and do not create a cofile or datafile.

Check your transport in SE10
