Long Text search in DMS

Dear Experts,

The Description field in a DIR can contain 40 characters. If we have more than 40 chars we can opt Long Text. But while searching for document (cv04n) based on 'Description' , the search will be carried out only on first 40 chars.

We have a requirement here such that search should be done on all the data present in the long text also. How this can be fixed. Presently we dont have TREX search engine. Is this required..?

Hi Sandeep,

Kindly find the 4th tab in the CV04n Screen, which will solve the purpose.

Thanks for the quick response...

I tried searching for a word in long text...but no documents were found. Is there any syntax? I tried with * & + as mentioned in F1 help. But i am not getting the desired result..

please help..
