Dear all,

we are into Roll out now

in one plant already SAP is running fine

Now for second plant Configurations are done

is there any way we can copy all the master data of plant 1 to Plant 2

if yes, then plz let me know in detail t-codes wise

Dear Kumar

1) Create Sampling procedure & Sampling scheme (QDV1 & QDP1) . Both of them are at client level. so if is already created the you can use them

2) Create Inspection method. QS31 . This is plant wise

3) Create MIC (QS21) (Master inspection characteristic - this is nothing but the testing parameter) - This is plant wise

4) Create inspection plan (QP01) - This is plant wise and can be assigned using material assignment

Hope this gives an idea

As i said earlier also i am an PP Consultant & very much new with QM

and currently i am trying in Sand Box

so definitely errors will occur

so have to raise query again & again

but still i know now the time has come to close this thread

Dear Kumar

1) Copy of Inspection plan is possible but the problem is individual you will have to do it. In QP01 tocde you can see a copy model option which allows you to do so

The tables for inspection plan are PLKO, PLPO and PLMK

2) If the inspection plan for the both the plants are same then you can use Material assignment in the inspection where you can give the material code and plant with group details so tht the fresh creation of inspection plan can be avoided.

Authorisation related issues can come in this methos

3) But I would recommend you to kindly create BDC for the master data and take dump of the table and re arrange to upload the data

Hi Kumar,

I am 100% agree with Gajesh,

You can use these masters intramural with two or more plant.

i.e. if you have created an MIC say Test-1 in plant 1001

You can use the same one to the relative masters (Inspection plan, Master Recipe) of other plants also.

Dear Kumar

There is no mass copy available. Individualy you will have to go to the tcode and do it

one more thing is that the master data of one plant can be used for another. Only inspection plan just like routing you will have to assign the new plant and material code

yes QDP1 and QDv1 are at client level. Rest are at plant level.

Also inspection plan is missing in the list. QP01 which is very much required at plant level

Dear Kumar,

Download you relevant data from the respective table.

Create an uploading tool (LSMW,BDC)

Arrange the downloaded data in the format for Created BDC,LSMW

Upload the data.

For further assistance pls let me know what are the data there you need to upload.

Plz give a glance & reply

1) QS31 - inspection method

2) QS21 - Master inspection Characteristics ( qualitative & Quantitative )

3) QDV1 - Sampling Procedure

4) QDP1 - sampling scheme

Now i have checked the above Master datas in Plant 1

but in plant 2 none of the above datas exists

Plz let me know the tables for above data

How to Go Ahead Now

is QDV1 & QDP1 is will at client level

Waiting for ur valuable inputs again

Yes, QDV1 & QDP1 are at client level.

Master Data QPMK Inspection characteristic master

Master Data QPMT Master Inspection Characteristics Texts

These are very easy to download from these tables, and then It can be straight way can be up loaded at Another plant by the LSMW

Dear Kumar,

As I have said you earlier also at least as per my information concern, There is no ready made tool available to copy the masters from plant 1 to Plant 2. You need to follow the procedure of Download and Upload.

i still wounder as there is no COPY option in QM for master data

As we have Copy aption in PP for all master datas

anyways will check with my Abaper for LSMW based on ur inputs

But i don't have a huge data in QM

so if possible can u let me know any other possible option from plant 1 to plant 2

Bust can u let me know & reply again on Copy option

Hello Kumar,

I had also came across the same requirement. I tried following options and surprisingly worked for me 100% correct.

For MIC

1. Develop LSMW by recording method for transaction code QS21 for MIC creation.

2. While recording LSMW use copy functionality that appears at initial screen in QS21.

3. Your template will be very small and will be consisting of only MIC Code, plants from which you have to copy the data and proposed MIC code and plant where you want to replicate the data.

4. Here all control indicators get copied automatically.

For inspection plan,

1. Develop similar LSMW by recording method for QP01 transaction code.

2. Care that you have to take are, Ensure that you enter group and group counter externally.

3. As quoted by Gajesh and Shyamal, here MICs of other plant (from which you copy inspection plan) gets copied and can be utilised. You need to ensure the user has authorization for accessing MICs of other plant.

4. Later if required you can change in CWBQM by mass maintenance.
