Hi,
I would like to ask.
What is the heterogeneous system copy sequence did you follow?
option1
1) DEV ---> QAS -
> Trial PROD (can be using the exported package of QAS) ---> PROD
Option1 will lead to minimum downtime on PRD. The trial PROD is using a exported package from QAS.
But will this posted a risk of exported failed during the actual export at PRD? Whereby certain item is overlooked.
option 2
2) DEV ---> TRial PROD --> PROD ---> QAS (homogeneous copy).
This will have a longer downtime. Because PROD need to be exported twice.
Is this is the recommendation by SAP heterogeneous guide?
Hope someone has experiences this share with me the information.
Thanks.

Hi,
I will recommend you to check system copy guide on http://service.sap.com.

Hi ,
I have no experience with it. But I know the definitions..
Homogeneous system copy means a system copy with all the database tables from one system to another system of same kind, like same os/db on both the systems.
A Heterogenous System copy is a copy from one system to another system of a different kind, like different os/db in either of those.
