Consumption of independent requirements

Hello all.

My question is the following. Is it possible to prevent consumption of independent requirements in the following months?

Example:

I have independent requirement Qty in May = 100 pieces

I have independent requirement Qty in June= 100 pieces

As my sales orders are recorded, they consume the independent requirement quantity. As the orders come in, the total order quantity exceeds the independent requirement quantity for the month of May and start reducing the indpependent requirement quantity in June.

What I want is for the quantity in june to remain untouched (unless the requirement is for June). I.e when my orders have consumed all my independent requirements for a given month, I want the MRP to generate new procurement proposals.

****Update****:

I should have mentioned that the planned independent requirements are set in weekly buckets not in monthly buckets.

So if week 10, 11, 12, 13 were part of the same month, I would allow for sales orders to consume everything in week 10, 11, 12 and 13 but not beyond. This means that I must allow for a backward and forward consumption period.

Anybody come acrros this requirement.

Thanks in advance.
