Dear All,

When i am opening my EP server in url http://<hostname>:5<no>00/index.html i am getting the below error message

503 Service Unavailable

Application stopped.

Details: You have requested an application that is currently stopped

i have checked my jlaunch services running, and server nodes also running state.

even i have maintained server ip and hostname in my desktop host file, so what is the reason that not opening in url?

Authentication failed. Password locked

user is lock , unlock the user and try to login again.

Hi,

You have to activate the SAP* user using the configtool, then restart the java server.

Unlock the administrator id and reset the new password. Then deactivate the sap* user using the configtool and restart the server.

Dont forget to deactivate the sap* user beacuse it doesn't allow you to use any other user to login.

Hi Chandra,

I believe it's due to

Please try and check the following:

1. Go to control panel -> Administrative tools -> Component Services

2. In the window that opens up select "Services" from the hierarchy on the left side.

3. On the right several services open up. Select your server instance. for example,if your SID is EP1, it'll be listed as SAPEP1_30 and SAPEP1_31.

4. Right Click and go to properties.

5. Select the "Startup Type" as "Manual" from the dropdown.

6. Go to tab "Log On". Select the first option "Local System Account".

7. Repeat this steps for 30 and 31 both the instances.

8. Restart your server. When you try to restart it will ask for username and password. Use ur SAP_ALL username and password to login.

For Step 1 & 2, you may even use 'Manage' option from my computer properties popup window

For Step 6, if not 'Local System Account' you may use account that's correctly setup in your systems full all required authorizations. And for Step 5, you may keep the service to start 'Automatically' also if you feel you want this service come online upon system reboot automatically.

Solution :- run ipclean or restart complete OS.

What is the URL you are trying to access ??

If you are trying to access a custom application, then please check if the application is started through VA.

You will find the logs under /usr/sap/<SID>/ JC<SYSNO>/work/

Just go this path & issue command ls -l | grep std_server0.out

As suggest by Juan check the enviroment varible.

Check enviroment variable DIR_LIBRARY & LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Also check the sap note :- 538849 UNIX: DLENOACCESS when loading dboraslib and libclntsh

pls paste contain of log std_server0.out , my mistake given you the wrong file name.

After running the command R3trans -d , the trans.log file will get generate , pls paste the contain of log file.

As well as paste the log std_server0 which will give good idea abt the error.

Also check Note 403004 - Database connect using R3trans fails for r3trans related error.

Hi Chandra,

Seems like EP is running but some problem with server0. Please check the log defaulttrace.TRC file in log folder of server0

Also, if possible just try to restart the java instance alone and if it not a production system then please restart the complete instance once.

You are getting these message while accessing Portal means, many chances that Portal is not running.

503 Service Unavailable

Application stopped

Details: You have requested an application that is currently stopped

Could you please restrat Portal once again and tell me the result. Basically after restart wait for 5-10 mins and refresh the URL and see the result.

Hi Chandra,

It seems that you Ep dispacther running but there is some problem in starting of server node.

Login to OS of SAP server with SIDADM and run jcmon as below to check the staus of application

jcmon pf=/sapmt/<SID>/profile/<SID>_JC<nn>_hostname.

Check there what status shows for server node.

Also pls paste he containt of log file std_server0

Tools->Internet Options->Connections-> LAN Settings->Advanced->Do not use proxy server for addresses

Put a entry hostname.

Then try accessing portal
