Import Profile is not getting activated in RZ10

Hello All,

We have installed CRM System successfully.Eveive servers rything is working fine.But when I am trying to import profile--->Of active servers from rz10 it is givving me error.Instance profile is not getting activated.

Import the start and instance profiles of all active servers

The following default profile is imported:

GOLITSAPD26_DCB_01:G:\usr\sap\DCB\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL

The following instance profiles are imported:

GOLITSAPD26_DCB_01:
golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\DCB_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSAPD

The following start profiles are imported:

GOLITSAPD26_DCB_01:
golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSA

golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\DCB_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSAPD

Start profile
golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSA

Could not be read. The import is therefore not possible.

Instance profile
golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\DCB_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSAPD

Could not be read by file; Therefore could not be checked.

(Server = GOLITSAPD26_DCB_01 )

Only one profile specified

You must specify 1 default and at least 1 instance profile

Start profile
golitsapd26\sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSA

From the log I can see that during importing , SAP truncating the name of the profiles. Its not taking the hostname of your server completely.

You can try one think from OS level.

1. Go to sapmnt\DCB\SYS\profile path and rename the profile upto which SAP is taking

Like your instance profile name is actually DCB_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSAPD26. But rename is to DCB_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSAPD

Do the same for the start profile . Rename it to START_DVEBMGS01_GOLITSA

THen try to import and activate. Once activated you can go and revert back the name again.

Hi Ashley,

You can login at the OS level and go to the usr\sap\ path. Check all the three profiles over there.

You can also check the profile parameter DIR_PROFILE as suggested in previous replies.
