ReOrder Point Quantity Exceeded

When I create a sales order (VA01) for a TAC item category (assembly order), I do not receive the warning message V1108 "Reorder point for item & has been exceeded:&"

I have searched SDN and OSS. I found OSS note 88054 which perfectly describes the problem, however this doesn't help me because we are running ECC 6.0.

Is there a setting we are possibly missing instead of it being a programming error? I'm not sure where to even start looking.

When creating sales order for TAN item category, we do receive the message V1108 as expected.

Hello

Kindly check in the Material master -> MRP1 screen ->Reorder point & check what is the entry maintained there.

May be your stock is falling below the quantity mentioned in the above field.

thank you

Yes, my stock is falling below the re-order point level set in the material master. That's why I expect to see the warning message V1108. So, why am I not getting that?
