Dear Team,
We are configuring backup scheduling on MS SQL Server 2005, SAP ECC 6.0 is running on MS Windows 2008 Server. We changed the Logon of MSSQLSERVER services as sidadm and the same user has been created in the target system and we requested for admin rights for that user but we got only modify & access permission only. Backup target was a fileserver, we created a sidadm user as a local user in the target server (Backup server) but it throughing error...
<The Database Engine service could not resolve the specified folder location. Either teh location does not exist, or the current login account does not have access to it. Verify that the folder exists, and that the login account has permissions on it.>
Kindly suggest any other option to configure the backup schedule.
Thanks
Guna
Did you configure the backup location as drive letter or as UNC name?

Dear Guna,
If the user under which MSSQLSERVER service is running, is not having required authorization at Remote/Target Location (filerserver), then NFS access will not work.
If both servers are a part of your common Domain, then provide common domain user (e.g. <domain_name>\backupadmin) as a Logon user of MSSQLSERVER services where SQL Server 2005 is running, and restart the service.
Also, Add the <domain_name>\backupadmin user in sharing/security authorized user list at target location (which is your File-server) where you want to perform Disk to Disk Backup and provide necessary access authorizations required to write/change files.
You can confirm the accessibility of your remote backup folder from Database Server.
Have you configured the Backup Device properly using SQL Manager Studio -> Server Object -> Backup Devies ....... ?
