Disable Variable in BW Report

Experts,

I have a variable called Actual Version - 0.

I want to disable this text so that users can not enter in this variable.

Can u pls help me regarding this ?

Hi Manohar,

If I understood your issue right, that you do not want variable to be entered or prompted at runtime by the user then,

Just uncheck the " Ready for input" option for this variable it will not be prompted for the users to enter values. Also, if you want you can default it too.

Thanks a lot for your response.I want to show this Variable in Selection Screen ,i selected default value for that. but User can not edit or enter any value in that.

Is there any way to do that ?

Hi,

Make the variable entry is mandatory and have default value as '0'..and while loading data if you have not loaded other than '0',it will not allow user to enter other than '0'.

just try out this...
