Project execution at customer premises

Hi Experts

My client constructs a building at customer premises.

What is the best way to map this?

In current plant, to show the customer location as a storage location.

Consume materials and receive building against production order.

At the end of compleition deliver from the same place.

But in reality there is no delivery because the building is constructed at customer place.

Even though, there is no option i believe. We have to show as inhouse production and delivery against sales order.

I request experts to comment.

Use service activity for your requirement. Why are you thinking about production order in your scenario? Are you using any in-house manufactured material in the construction @ client site?

Just use Service activity. Enter the service in service entry sheet & accept it. That's it. No need of any delivery here.

There is a change in this scenario.

The customer is not an external partner, but it is a plant of other company code.

So, it should be recieved as a purchased asset.

Please comment, considering this sale scenario among two company codes.

For this you can create an Investment project.

Against the WBSE you issue a service order and settle the WBS to Asset once the construction is completed.

Sell this asset through SD (Asset sale scenario)

This solution seems to fit my requirement. Thank you very much.

Shall explore on Asset sale scenario and revert if any query remains.

However, in the above solution, what is the need of service order?.

I will execute a investment project inhouse and settle to an asset. Is it not OK?

i would use PS for construction

storage location and plant would be as per MM design if they want to treat customer location as storage location

from PS no issues

You mean Inhouse Production--> GR against Production order >d Delivery agianst sales order> Bill?

If so, can i handle this scenario with Intercompany STO + Project?
