I am new in SAP BASIS and i m working in IDES on W2003 SErver to learn can anyone tell me how to install printer on IDES

Hi Anwer,

TO install a printer try these steps

1.First Logon to IDES then execute Transaction spad

2Then u have to create a spool server click the tab spool server.

3.From Menu bar Selcet create options or(Shift+f1)

4on that screen enter the server name(eg. ko74_ER3_00).

here ko74 is computername, ER3 is sapsystemname 00 is systemnumber.Then save it.

5.Then Go back to transaction spad. then click on output device. then create a output device and filled the value of empty fields.

6. u have to select device type SAPWIN :Rel.4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ ONLY

Spool Server KO74_ER#_00

Device class : Standard Printer

In the Access Method Tab:

Host spol access Method : S:Print using SAP Protocol

Host Printer __default

Destination Host Where ur printer is installed

Just Save the information.
