Role File Overflow

Hi;

From taday morning we are getting contiously the following error on CI:

SM21:

Role File Overflow (032768 Blocks)

Roll out failed, return code -32

Roll out failed, return code -01

And only one time we have received Status: 90% of ROLLFL00 is in use.

The CI is on AIX and 40GB RAM. We are not getting this error on another dialog instances.

Kindly suggest.

How much is Swap set on you application server ??

Increase value of parameter rdisp/PG_MAXFS , to solve you problem.

Hi Rahul,

The value is rdisp/PG_MAXFS=32768

It is defult value after installtion .

As you said you have 30 GB of SWAP , so you can double the value of parameter as you have enough Swap on OS.

Set the parameter and restart the application server.

What is a value of parameter :- rdisp/PG_MAXFS

Pls refer the note :- Note 133909 - Maximum value for PG_MAXFS, PG_SHM, ROLL_MAXFS, ROLL_SHM , for the error which you are getting

Are you have 64 bit enviroment.

Hi Anil,

The SWAP configured on CI is 30 GB but it is not used because out of 40 GB RAM on 30 GB used.
