Problem while Installing Trex

Hi

I am trying to install TREX on AIX 5.3 64 Bit Server. I have downloaded the TREX70_47-20000466.SAR File from SMP and extracted it in the Server and provided chmod 777 Permission. After that I tried to run the Installer from the Installtion Directory but I am getting the following error.

/sapexec/TREX/im_sapinst_standalone_trex/IM_AIX_PPC64 #./sapinst

iaextract.c:440: Error opening archivefile /sapexec/TREX/im_sapinst_standalone_trex/IM_AIX_PPC64/./sapinst

Please help

Hi Soumya,

sapinst is a right binary.

You can also install TREX using Business Suite Master CD, in BS master CD ins additional life cycle option you will get option to install TREX.

Hi all,

I am getting the same error while installing ECC 6 IDES on HP-UX 11.31

iaextract.c:440: Error opening archivefile /sapcd2/InstMst_7.01_SR1/IM_HPUX_IA64/./sapinst

I have checked my java versions it is 1.4.2.19.

Is this version correct or should i change it.

Also if my java version is correct what is the solution then.

please provide the solution as early as possible

By which user id you are trying installation.

It seems installtion master dump problem.

Hi Soumya,

I have refered certain SAP note :- Note 1008311 - Recommended Settings for NW 7.0 >= SR2 for the AIX JVM (J9)

Came to conclusion that your current java version is correct for installtion.

now , pls go to you sapinst directory and run the following command

file ./sapsint

paste the output of above command in forum.

I am using root user for installation. I am also thinking to download the Installer again and run it. Can please you confirm me the Installer File name again

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2)
Classic VM (build 1.4.2, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM AIX 5L for PowerPC (64 bit JVM) build ca
ix64142-20090307 (SR13) (JIT enabled: jitc))

update it from 2 to 12

Also i think there is probelm in your master CD .
