Does anyone know the SAP Note number that outlines the "dos and don'ts" of updating and writing to the SAP tables at the SQL Server level or for any database platform? One of the other posts on this subject implied that such a note exists but I cannot find it.
I've seen the blogs and forum posts but I need something more official from SAP to combat continued requests by .NET developers to let their apps insert to and udpdate SAP tables directly. I know there are a variety of reasons for not allowing it but something official from SAP.
Check the blog:
"Questions to SAP Support: Is ODBC access to the database a good idea?"

Hi Brent,
I found the following note by searching with the keywords "database table odbc sql".
[Note81854 - ODBC - Open Database Connectivity|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/81854]
This is it?
Best regards,
TK
