0EC_PCA_1, 3 and 4

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone could clarify if all 3 of the above datasources are needed (0EC_PCA_1, 3 and 4).

1. We need PCA_4 to get ACTIV = PRC4 and periodic transfer.

2. We need PCA_3 for for other transfer.

My question is:

If we are pulling from PCA 3 and 4, do we need to pull from PCA1? We are loading to an ODS and then Infocube (to keep line item in ODS and summary in Cube). With this said, is it necessary to use PCA_1 since we are using PCA_3?

Yes, you have to use 0EC_PCA_1 also if you want balace carryforward from Total Tables GLPCT. Please see this link

0EC_PCA_3 - Line Item

If we don't want the balance carry forward (will verify), then do we need PCA_1?

Other than this I don't see any other reason also check other two Datasources will take care of your summary reports because PCA_1 also meant for summary records for Profit and loss accounts. What I suggest is add this Datasource also to your Design and if you feel you don't need this later on you could always Disable.
