What is the difference between MDM module and SRM MDM

Hi

SAP MDM is a Netweaver based application to manage all the master data across the applications/modules. SRM MDM is one of the use case of MDM. All the data imported and managed in MDM and displayed in SRM-MDM search UI and then transfered to SRM server as a catalog application. SRM MDM UI can be configured according to the display requirements.

Hi ,

MDM is a product by itself based on SAP netweaver technology accquired from A2i technology.

SRM uses MDM for its catalogue application and is widely referred as SRM MDM , whereas the application MDM can be used for multiple purpose in an organization.
