Advise on IS Utilities!!

Dear Experts,

I'm a CRM Functional Consultant. Would like to move to IS Utilities. my humble request to you is:

What other modules are need to be aware (Ex: SD, CS etc.,) inaddition to ISU and If yes, Is it mandatory to know.

In IS-U you need to study on Business Master Data, Technical Master Data, Device Management, FICA,Billing and Invoicing these r mandatory modules .

Other modules: PM,CS,SD and MM these r integrated modules IS-U.

I would also please you for little more details.. Kindly clarify.

1. What is Technical Master Data. I don't see such information in help.sap

2. FICA seems to be very large portion in ISU. Is this FICO Consultant Job or ISU Consultant job to make configuration & settings.

Technical Master data : is Connection Object , Primise , installation ,device , device location .

I gave u one link in previous reply, go to this link click on MASTER DATA when u come in master data screen thr some images which are defining what is business master data and Technical mastre data.

yes FICA is very large portion in ISU. All part of configuration of FICA is doing by ISU person, some little part cover in FICO of .

When u will go SPRO tcode there one node is Financial Accounting click on this then u see Contract Account Receivables and payable (FICA) this FICA part . Here we configur all FICA settings.

There are several modules in IS-U like:

Customer Service,

Device Management

Work Management

Energy Data Managament

Billing

FI-CA

UCES (Utility Customer E Services)

CRM is also integrated with IS-U

Hi Srujan,

Its not mandatory to know all the modules.

You can have a basic idea of all modules and knowledge of your own module to work as ISU Consultant.

Business Master Data or BMD is name of Business Partner, Service Provider, Billable / Non Billable Service, Contract Account etc.

Technical Master Data or TMD is Technical Details like PoD, Installation, Device, Device Location etc.

FI-CA is Finance and Contract Accounting, its one of the module in IS-U.
